Starring James Rule, Maggot Man is about a scientist who gets himself into trouble after being ridiculed by colleagues over his controversial research into the cognitive capacities of flies. Going slightly crazy, the scientist creates a Frankensteinian monster which is controlled by a maggot in order to prove his theories. Far from being a peaceful and intelligent creature, a violent monstrosity emerges and escapes the lab. Maggot Man is pursued by mad scientists, special police investigators, and even ninja, and leaves a path of destruction in his quest to knock humanity off the top of the food chain.
